Funky Friday @ The Amsterdam Bar & Hall, Saint Paul. 5pm – 7pm (Free) The fun continues. If you didn’t start the weekend on Thursday, then get it off to a good start with funk n’ soul that will have you chair dancing, if not out on a dance floor. Plus, there are happy hour prices until 6pm. I usually try to get started a bit before 5pm.

Thursday, July 12

Hipshaker @ The Kitty Kat Club, Minneapolis. 9pm – 2am. (Free) I’ll be a guest deejay for this monthly gig, playing soul and funk 45s, taking my turn along with Hipshaker Deejay Brian Engel, and Deejay about townTarik Thornton. It’s always a fun night at Hipshaker.
