Hiatus and Summer Shows

Dear Friends, Acquaintances, and Fellow Music fans;

It is with considerable regret that I have to take a hiatus from publishing this weekly blog – hopefully for only a few months. I have to attend to some issues that require much time and energy. I may, from time to time, publish a a blog highlighting a few gigs, as time and energy permit.

I have already stopped accepting writing assignments from the Highland Villager, which I’ve done once or twice a month since 2002, and will no longer spin on every other Wednesday night at the Nightingale. I will continue my Saturday radio show, Rhythm & Grooves, in which I feature a jazz calendar, and will continue to spin at the Soulful Sunday Brunch at The Nightingale – it’s so much fun, and so energizing, that I’m reluctant to give it up.

I will still be going out from time to time, and hope to see you enjoying live music, which of course, lifts the spirit.

Best regards,

PS: In the meantime, here are a few shows to watch for, and links to some calendars. You can find a fairly comprehensive list of links to venues on the that present Jazz, Blues, & Roots at this page on the Twin Cities Music Venues page (click above). Be aware that venues change their music policies often enough that it’s hard to stay current

    I hope you get your ducks in a row and blog again. This is a great one stop shop for what’s up.
    Thank you!
